The mother wears a winged cap and a short, sleeveless wide jacket with shoulder wings, the front panels of which are turned back. She also has false sleeves. The little boy at her knee wears a long skirt, the general dress for boys and girls up to the age of six. The decorative sleeves of his doublet are attached to each other, so they can also serve as a leash. The maid bringing in the meat is a country girl. Over her corset she wears a 'kletje', a sleeveless shoulder piece with a collar.
