About this work

Juno rides in her chariot pulled by two peacocks. She extends her hand towards Aeolus, the god of the wind, who stands by the road. Juno asks Aeolus if he can release the winds so that Carthage is protected against the attack of Aeneas and his men. In the background, a rainbow is visible.
