About this work

Paul lies on the ground because he has fallen from his horse in fright. A servant helps him get up. Another soldier holds the rearing horse in check. The other soldiers are in a commotion. The sky is completely dark, from a cloud, upon which God and angels, light shines down on them. God calls Paul. In the lower margin a piece from Acts 9:3-4.
