About this work

A man carries an old woman on his back. The woman is thin and poorly dressed. On the ground lies a well-dressed, fat lady with a fan in her hand sleeping. In the background a city gate. Below the image an explanatory verse in Latin by Franco Estius and a Dutch verse.
