About this work

Envy, a lean woman with bare breasts, walking to the right. She has snakes for hair and holds a snake in her right hand. She bites on a heart. In the background an oven from which a thick cloud of smoke rises. Quarreling men and women stand before the oven. No. 4 from the series of Virtues and Vices that determine the fortunes of life.
