About this work

Prudence, in the form of a woman with a mirror in her right hand, around which a snake winds. At the top of the representation the word 'PRVDENTIA' (prudence). This print is part of a series of seven round representations of the virtues, each personified by a female figure with characteristic attributes, and with a Latin inscription.
