About this work
Within a circle stands a naked figure, covered with a network of geometric lines. Above it a compass, crowned sword, pen, ruler and a star. Below the circle a cartouche with soldiers in combat. Around it a border with allegorical figures, provided with various mottos. Title print of an eight-part series of prints, dedicated to the qualities of a good soldier.
