About this work
In a garden in front of a classical portal sits a man next to his young wife amidst their six sons. Under the representation, on a pasted sheet, a Dutch poem in three couplets and a Dutch poem in two times two lines, which name the relationship between the woman and the boys/gentlemen in the representation in the form of a riddle.
