About this work
At an inn people sit on benches under an awning to feast and drink. Two men lie next to a water well on the ground and sleep off their intoxication. Along the road stands a traveler with a horse talking to one of the partygoers who drinks from a beer mug. The inn is located on the edge of a city next to the church. Below the image a Dutch verse about moderation.
