About this work
A gentleman and a lady sit under trees next to each other. The man's horse stands next to the trees. In the background a hunting scene is visible with a man and dogs hunting a deer. Meanwhile the gentleman hunts for the hair of the lady. This wordplay is explained in the Latin and Dutch verse in the lower margin.
