About this work
Print from a book about sixteenth-century clothing around 1580. Four women from the Pera district in Constantinople. All four women are dressed differently. From left to right: a noble maiden, a Christian woman, an older lady and a pregnant noblewoman. The latter holds a flower in her hands as a symbol of her pregnancy. The print has a Latin inscription.
