Print from a book about sixteenth-century clothing around 1580. Four soldiers from the Ottoman army. All four are dressed differently. From left to right: a Janissary officer (elite soldier) with an axe, a Janissary general with a staff, a foreign sentinel with an axe and a sword and a bow and an archer in the service of the sultan. The print has a Latin inscription.
