Title print with an allegorical border and a calligraphed title. On the left side of the title stands Mercury. On the right, the goddess of the art of writing holding a goose quill and a roll of paper. In the center top, a round shield with the motto around the edge: Vive la Plume. Inside, a crown with two crossed goose quills. Next to this shield, two writing older bearded men: on the left Pisistratus, king of Athens, and on the right the Greek philosopher Anaxagoras. Next to them, two putti hand over writing attributes and a lamp. In the shield at the bottom center, an oak wreath and a pen above a hand pointing to an ear. To the left of that, two putti pull quills from the wing of a goose. On the right, a putto with a ruler, compass, and triangle. The right side and bottom of the print are damaged.
