About this work
The personification of Faith sits chained on the ground. In her hands a cross and a bible. Next to her on the ground lie the Instruments of the Passion. An angel appears in the air and shows her a print with in the middle the crucifixion of Christ, surrounded by various smaller representations of the martyrdom of the twelve apostles.
