About this work
Various people try to build the Tower of Babel, but are hindered because they no longer understand each other's language. This leads to confusion, resulting in quarrels, brawls, and departures, so that the tower is ultimately not completed. Below the representation, a reference to the biblical text in Genesis 11:5, 7, 8.
