About this work

Two depictions on one plate. Left: Amor has laid down his arrow and bow and pulls a fruit from a tree. Right: A farmer, whose heart is pierced with Amor's arrow, buries his drowned horse in a pit with a shovel. In the air flies Amor. The prints are part of a series of prints with love emblems.
