About this work
The Philistine woman sits kneeling beside a bed and begs Samson to reveal the solution to his riddle. Tired of her weeping Samson tells her the solution, after which she will tell it to the wedding guests. To the right in the background the guests confer with each other about what the solution to the riddle could be.
