About this work

A young elegant couple under a tree, dressed according to the fashion of 1620-'30. The lady wears a gown with a wide standing collar. On her head a cap with feathers. She holds a fan in one hand, a flower in the other. The man beside her has his hat with feathers in his left hand and picks a flower from the basket of the flower girl in front of him with his right hand. A dog on the right. Castle in the background.
