About this work

A print with two scenes one below the other. Above the expulsion of Hagar and her son Ishmael. Abraham sends Hagar away, a maid gives Ishmael food. At the entrance of the house stands Sarah, Abraham's second wife, and looks at the scene. Below the return of the prodigal son. The prodigal son kneels before his father who receives him. On the right in the foreground the older sons are at work.
