About this work

Standing man with boots with wide shafts and spurs, a hat with a wide brim and feather, his right hand on the hilt of his sword. In the background a cavalry engagement. This print is part of a series of 12 prints depicting noblemen in costumes worn in Lorraine in the first quarter of the 17th century; half the series depicts men's costumes, the other half women's costumes.
