About this work

Standing man, seen from the left, dressed in a short cloak trimmed with fur, boots with wide shafts and spurs, a hat with a wide brim and feather, his left hand on his back. In the background two soldiers with a horse on a village square. This print is part of a series of 12 prints depicting noblemen in costumes worn in Lorraine in the first quarter of the 17th century; half the series depicts men's costumes, the other half women's costumes.
