About this work
In the nursery a nurse is feeding the baby, while another woman looks on. To the right the mother lies in a canopy bed. Beside her sits her husband. At the bottom of the margin the coat of arms of Johann Goll von Frankenstein, who owned the original painting to which the print is dedicated.
