About this work
Saint Petronilla [according to Christian writers the daughter of Peter], holding an open book in her hand. She tramples the Roman nobleman Flaccus, who offers her a ring because he wishes to marry her. She looks up to heaven where the apostle Peter points out the Lamb, who is being adored by martyresses. An angel brings her a crown and a lily. In the margin a six-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
