About this work

Meleager has killed the Calydonian boar and wants to give the boar's head to his beloved Atalanta. Here Meleager's two uncles disagree with this, which leads to a quarrel. One uncle is already lying on the ground, the other uncle fights with Meleager for the boar's head.
