About this work

Joseph's brothers have returned to Egypt with their little brother Benjamin and kneel before Joseph. He invites them to a meal. In the background on the left, the brothers sit opposite Joseph at the meal. Far in the background, the continuation of the story is visible: in the sack of grain belonging to Benjamin, Joseph's silver cup is found. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Gen. 43.
