About this work
In the foreground, the Jewish people collect water in jugs and basins. In the middle ground, Moses strikes a rock with his staff, causing water to flow out. In the background, the Jewish tent camp in the desert. The print has a Latin inscription and is the second print in a six-part series on the history of Moses and the Jewish people in the desert after the Exodus.
