About this work

Battle on the river Gete near Jodoigne and Tirlemont where the rear guard of the army of the Prince of Orange is defeated by Alva's army, 19 October 1568. In the foreground the battle, to the left the army of Orange flees through the river. To the right the troops of Alva deployed in battle order. At the top a banderol with the title and legend A-Q in Latin. Numbered 248 in the upper right.
