About this work
Solomon sits on his throne and orders one of his soldiers to cut the disputed child in two. To the left of the throne one of the mothers begs for mercy and thus proves that she is the real mother. The other mother (right) sits next to a dead child, which was hers. The print has a Latin inscription.
