About this work

Apollo sits on Mount Parnassus, around him stand and sit his muses with their attributes at the spring Castalia. While Cupid plays on a lyre, Apollo is embraced by a muse. Above them floats Fame with trumpet on a cloud. In the lower margin Dutch verse in two couplets of four lines about these goddesses of poetic inspiration and fine arts.
