About this work
In a room with arched entrances, Mary sits in the middle, turned to the right, kneeling before the Child. Around her a large group of shepherds. Above them an angel with a scroll in his hands, surrounded by other angels in a cloud. Two women watch through an open window. With inscription from Isaiah 9 announcing the birth of Christ.
