About this work

Two farmers walk around in an apple orchard. The man in front admires a large apple tree with a straight trunk, which, however, bears only small fruit. The other man grabs one of the large apples hanging from the branches of a smaller tree with a crooked trunk. Content is as important as form. The back of the print bears a Dutch text from the following page.
