About this work
Allegorical title print for the third part of the Spanish version of Guerres de Flandres. The general Alexander Farnese, the duke of Parma, as Hercules with club and lion skin standing on a hill. In the clouds figures with attributes of the triumphant duke and a portrait of a young king. In the foreground Minerva with Spanish flag shows a laurel wreath framed equestrian portrait of the duke of Parma, to the terror of the enemy.
