Portrait of Ambrogio Spinola, Marquis de los Balbases. He arrived in 1602 in the Southern Netherlands as commander-in-chief of the Spanish troops. He wears a chain with the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. In the margin a four-line poem of praise, in two columns, in Latin.
