About this work

Riots by angry peasants with flags, swords and axes on the Great Market Square in Haarlem where the town hall is plundered. On the right steward Claes van Ruyven is beaten to death while on the left the documents from his archive are destroyed. Print marked top right: Vol. IV, p. 280.
