About this work
In the first scene the young man arrives in Paris, where his pockets are picked. In the second scene he walks with two new acquaintances through the Tuileries. The third scene shows a tête-à-tête with a young woman; his first conquest. The last scene shows the young man in an interior, suffering from a hangover and intending a future of abstinence.
