About this work
Allegorical memorial for the poet Petrus Pijpers. In the middle the monument with on it the portrait of Pijpers, in a circular frame. On the monument two censers, a harp with a laurel wreath, a serpent and a number of books. In front of the monument also books. Below the portrait a two-line verse.
