About this work
Juno sitting on a cloud deck, accompanied by her symbol the peacock. In her hand she holds a scepter. As the wife of the supreme god Jupiter, she wears a crown. In the background it can be seen how Juno is drawn by a pair of peacocks on her chariot. Under the cloud deck stands Mercury with the head of the hundred-eyed giant Argus, whom Juno had to guard Io. In the margin a four-line inscription in Latin.
