About this work

Book illustration for the story of the Miracle of the Seven Loaves and the Two Fish (Matthew 15:32-38). Christ wants to feed the crowd that has come to listen to him. The apostles have only seven loaves and some fish. Christ blesses this food and has it distributed to the crowd. Everyone had enough to eat and when everyone was full it turned out there were still baskets of food left. The print contains an inscription with a reference to the corresponding Biblical passage.
