About this work
Within the oval, a man with donkey ears plays a shawm, surrounded by birds, insects, and stylized scrollwork. Around the oval are five ornaments grouped with white stylized scrollwork on a black background. From a series of six sheets of blackwork ornamentation with patterns for enamel work.
