About this work

Satirical print on the campaign of the allies in the coalition against France in the Austrian Netherlands in 1793. Festive drinking party with music; in the center sits Frederick Augustus, Duke of York, with a fat Flemish woman on his lap. To his left, a fat Dutchman calmly smoking his pipe, possibly Prince Willem V. Opposite at the table, a Prussian hussar of the Totenkopf Hussars. Around the table, other officers with their female companions; in the background, music is being played and drinks are being brought in.
