Scene from the comedy 'Jan Klaasz. or the Pretended Maid': the declaration of love of Reinier Adriaansz. Saartje Jans stands behind a half-closed door holding a candle. In front of her stands Reinier Adriaansz paying court to her in an awkward manner. Saartje tries to reject him with raised hand.
