About this work

Sheet with portraits of the King of France and the Bishop of Munster and five cities or fortresses over which fighting took place. These are named in the print: Schenken-Schans (Schenkenschans), Het T'Holhuys (Tolhuis), Grit Huysen (Griethuizen), Christin off Niew Schenkeschans (Nieuw Schenkenschans) and T'Huys te Halt nu Bylant (castle Byland). Title print for a series of 12 prints of fortresses conquered by the French and Munster troops in 1672.
