About this work

View of the two huts where the crew of the sunken English schooner Martha on Texel stayed. On the left hut the English flag and boards with the names 'Martha' and 'buiten-zorg'. The salvage of the cargo of the stranded ship was carried out by divers under the leadership of Jan van Geuns in the night of 25 to 26 June 1848.
