About this work
A composite landscape with the ruin of an antique temple. In the foreground people from 'Arabia', 'Persia', 'Tartary' and putti have gathered around a globe. On the left a painting with the Kaaba in Mecca depicted. On a pedestal the title in Dutch. The representation is enclosed in a cartouche with in the upper corners in medallions the portraits of two rulers.
