About this work
Allegory of the element earth in a frame of flowers, baskets, and shepherd hats and staffs. A woman stands under a fruit tree and catches the fruit that a man picks in the tree. On the ground, children collect the fallen fruit. In the lower margin, twice a four-line Dutch and French text.
