About this work
Half-length portrait to the left of Leopold I, Emperor of Germany. Around his neck the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece. He wears a laurel wreath on his head, and holds in his left hand a scepter and in his right hand an orb. In the background an army on foot and some horsemen. Under his portrait a plinth, on which his name and title in two lines in a cartouche.
