About this work

Noble lady from Brabant, seen from the back at an angle, turned to the left. A dark, soft-falling headscarf over the hair with a veil for the face. Double neckerchief, trimmed with strips of lace. Gown with wide sleeves and pleated skirt over a bum pad. The side seams of the bodice, decorated on the back with strips of lace, which also appear on the lower arm. In the left hand a fur muff, handkerchief and rosary.
