About this work
Satirical print on Napoleon of 1813 in which his face is constructed from the corpses of his victims, his hat is the Prussian eagle, his epaulet a grasping hand whose fingers wear rings with the letters A, R, P, and S. The collar is a river of blood, his coat the battlefield of Europe, and the insignia of the Legion of Honor on his chest a spider's web. Below the plate on the sheet texts in Dutch, German, English, and French.
