Allegory on the attempts of the orthodox Protestants to persuade King William III not to ratify the accepted law on Primary Education, August 1857. Sheet with various smaller scenes, including the kneeling Dutch Maiden in the Dutch Garden with an empty throne, King William III in the clouds, a reference to Thorbecke, and competing Protestant and Catholic clergymen. At the bottom, a four-line verse.
