About this work

Satirical print on the peace concluded in Paris which put an end to the Cauldron War, the disputes between the Netherlands and the Austrian Emperor Joseph II, November 8, 1785. In a room, the Austrian Emperor and the French King Louis XVI divide a Dutch cheese. Frederick of Prussia enters the room and wants to eat some of the cheese. The Elector of Cologne wipes the crumbs from the table. In the inscription, an explanation of the image in French and German.
